Dutch Sugar Cookie


  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt


  1. Preheat Oven to 400 degrees
  2. Mix sour cream, brown sugar and vanilla.
  3. Add eggs and beat until fluffy.
  4. Sift flour, baking soda and salt and add to sour cream mixture. Stir until smooth.
  5. Dough should be soft not sticky. If necessary at more flour.
  6. Drop tablespoons of dough onto greased cookie sheet
  7. Bake 8-10 minutes until light golden brown
